Born in Cuba, his family immigrated to the US in 1959 when he was five. Throughout his childhood, he was drawn to color, shapes, design and texture leading him to study Fine Arts at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Ohio. There Carlos majored in Fine Arts where he studyed anatomy, sculpture, painting and the Master's techniques. After a number of years working as an Art Director in New Jersey and New York City, he has come full circle and returned to his true passion of fine art concentrating in oil painting.
